The successful relaunch of the Shop NASA website resulted in a visually stunning, highly functional e-commerce experience. As the lead designer and developer, I implemented the design system and built the site using HTML, CSS, and Liquid, delivering a seamless and modern e-commerce experience on Shopify.
Overview
Working through the design and development phases, a Shopify theme was customized all while working within the limitations of a standard Shopify plan. A standard plan can present challenges with a lack of functionality options. To avoid this issue, the liquid templates were built from scratch, allowing for a completely custom site with the desired look, feel, and while still being able to manage 100% of the site through the theme customizer.
Designing every possible liquid template, the aim was to create a site without compromising NASA’s end vision. No single landing page, or product page went untouched.

Incorporate NASA's branding elements to create a cohesive and recognizable online presence.
Optimize the design and user interface for seamless navigation and enhanced user experience on mobile devices.
The project aimed to revamp NASA's online store by updating the Shopify theme, integrating its branding elements, and ensuring mobile optimization. Over the course of the project, significant improvements were made to enhance the overall user experience and align the website with NASA's brand identity.
